It’s Friday! So we will keep it short but sweet in todays post. I’m going to let you in on a little secret. Find a little hole in the wall dry cleaners. Ask if they can do alternations and then make the tailor your new best friend. This is my biggest secret when it comes to making a cheap dress look more expensive. I fell in love with dress online immediately. But as you know, shopping online comes with its pitfalls. I adored the dress so much, but it didn’t fit as contoured to my body as I would have liked. So I brought it in to my little friend and two days later, I had a totally transformed dress!
If you are a girl on a budget. There is nothing wrong with taking advantage of more affordable clothing lines. But you really can make the dress look even better if you take it in to get altered. I honestly don’t know why I waited this long to get on the bandwagon!
So my challenge to you this weekend is to go in your closet and find a dress that you love but don’t wear because it doesn’t look right or fit correctly. Take it to a dry cleaners, get it tailored, and then spoil yourself to a nice night out when you get it back! Both your dress and self-esteen will thank you!
