The warm summer wind brings a variety of outdoor festivals. We parade in the heat as we sway to our favorites songs and overstuff ourselves with delicious food. These types of scenes often leave us perplexed as to what to wear. We want to look chic, while maintaining the vibe of the atmosphere. To be honest, casual isn’t my favorite look. A few months back, I attended a rock concert with my husband that forced me to take a huge step outside of my fashion comfort zone. Let’s just say mosh pit dressing isn’t my speciality. Although it was fun playing a different fashion role for an occasion, I realized that there is a way to still look like you even under unnatural circumstances.
For example, I am actually not a huge concert goer. Crowded outdoor environments that may leave my favorite shoes ruined doesn’t make me thrill with excitement. But I was able to pull together an outfit for under $100 to wear to any upcoming summer music festival gatherings! And the best part is that it still feels me.
I think the biggest trick in maintaining your personal style amidst a different setting is to choose a similar color scheme or print. If you are a feminine and romantic dressier like I am, you can still look festival chic with airy or more free flowing fabrics. This dress, which is under $35 by the way, gives a more effortless vibe with its off the shoulder cut and tied waist band. It is very loose fitting, which allows for movement and airflow. But I have to say that the wedges are my favorite! I have been wearing them nonstop for my weekend outings.
