Beat the Summer Heat with a Linen Dress

Girl, this Texas heat has knocked me on my you know what! Acclimating to a more humid climate has been brutal to say the least. I am no newbie to intense heat. Vegas would hit temperatures like 115 on your usual summer day. But thankfully you were not worried about leaving sweat marks on your favorite top. Texas, on the other hand, is a whole other ball game! 

I know I will eventually adjust (um, at least I hope so!), but until then I am determined to find a way to still keep my full coverage foundation and fashion sense admits this intense humidity. My first weapon against the battle of heat is a change in the fabrics of my clothing.

Linen is known to be lightweight and provide more airflow. So in case you do break a sweat, the material is likely to dry quickly and hide our little issue. So if you know you will be outdoors for a lot of a day or event, this will be your champion fabric. If you opt for a white color with shell button detailing, you are sure to be looking timeless and classic. This type of an item will be able to take you through many future summers without going out of style! 

So if you are wanting to be breezy and beautiful this summer (hehe Covergirl), than go linen or just go home because you will just be sweating through everything else!
