It’s no secret that pregnancy affects every aspect of a woman’s life. But it is not as often that we think about how much it also affects the dad to be. Most movies and tv shows portray a terrified male that is completely clueless when it comes to taking care of a newborn child. Men are known to be a little more hesitant when it comes to jumping into their new role. And although this is true for many, I have considered myself extremely lucky to have a man who is truly ecstatic about becoming a Father.
He has been so supportive throughout this entire journey attending every doctor’s appointment, stepping up around the house, and even holding up my hair while I puke. While some are nervous to dip their toe into the water of Fatherhood, he is there ready to cannon ball. I have no doubts about what an amazing dad he will be, and I consider not only myself lucky to have such an amazing husband, but I also know our son is going to be extremely lucky as well.
