The holidays are all the more meaningful with a little one to spend it with. This Christmas has been one of my favorites yet now that Oliver is at the age to actually understand the whole Christmas experience. We have had so much fun putting together Gingerbread houses, making hot chocolate, and decorating Christmas cookies.

Growing up, like many I am sure, holiday baking and cookie making were a Christmas tradition. Whether it was my grandmother’s famous chocolate chip recipe, peanut butter chocolate buckeyes, or the classic sugar cookies, we were always in the kitchen making a yummy treat.

This year, I went on a mission to find a delicious sugar cookie recipe that didn’t taste plain or hard. I discovered this extra soft sugar cookie recipe on Pinterest and it was a total hit! I grabbed some really cuteĀ tins from Target to keep the cookies in and even hand out as little gifts to friends or family with our favorite cookies inside. I also picked up a marble rolling pin a few years ago for the purpose of making sugar cookies over the holidays, and we have been putting it to use! I linked some other cut baking supplies below to add to the whole holiday baking experience!
