I am such a sucker for blog posts like this. I love surfing Pinterest to find out what luxury products other beauty obsessed girls swear by. And then I realized, why don’t I have a blog post where I talk about my favorite high end beauty buys?! So today I am sharing my favorite splurge worthy items!
I used to be that girl who loved having makeup just for the sake of having it. I was always picking up new products, even if I wasn’t sure I would even like it! But at the time I was going to makeup school in NYC, so I basically justified any makeup purchase! But now I have gotten to that point in my life where I like having things I actually use. I don’t like collecting clutter or having stuff for the sake of having it.
Now, I am sure if you were to see my makeup collection, you would laugh pathetically because I still have a ton of makeup! But I have gotten ride of SO MANY PRODUCTS! I would rather spend a little extra money on a few products that I adore, then have a bunch of products that are just okay.
Some high end makeup isn’t really worth the money. At the end of the day you are paying for pretty packaging and the brand name. But these 7 products are worth more than their pretty label! These babies are definitely worth their hype and when you feel like treating yourself, try out one of these products!
Never in my life would I think that I would pay this much for something that goes under my makeup. But I actually went through a period recently where I didn’t wear primer at all for a couple of months. I felt like they were causing clogged pores. But this primer smoothes out the skin and is so amazing for sensitive skin! It is so gentle, yet effective at making your makeup last longer and look smoother.

3. Nars Radient Creamy Concealer
I used to have a problem with my under eye concealer looking dry at times. Since discovering this little product, I haven’t had any issues with my under eyes looking cakey or dry. Sometimes I wish it had a little more coverage, but I do love how beautifully it sits under the eye.
For a couple of years, I actually had a tradition where I would get a YSL lipstick for my birthday. If I am being honest, their packaging is the number one reason to get it! But their formula is so unique. I have never tried another lipstick like it. It applies so creamy and smooth. I would definitely recommend wearing it with a lip liner though to increase wear time.
During a weak moment in Sephora while traveling in Colorado, I purchased this lipgloss. I will be the first to say that it is an obscene amount of money to spend on a lip gloss! But it actually does make your lips look bigger!
6. Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder
I am beating a dead horse with this one. Actually I hate that expression… like EW! Anyway, settings powders can easily make your makeup look unnatural or cakey. Not this one! I love how flawless it can make your makeup look!
7. Dior Fragrances
Dior fragrances have a special place in my heart because I wore Miss Dior Eau De Parfum on my wedding day! I actually just finished my bottle (2 and a half years later!). That is the bottle pictured. But I have my eye on their new fragrance Absolutely Blooming. I have to say that I think the new one is my favorite perfume ever! I am obsessed. I think I know what I am putting on my Christmas list 😉
