One of the biggest trends we are seeing for Spring fashion is the sheer naked dress. Now I prefer this style to have a layer under it, as to not terrify small children and scandalize everyone around me. But that’s just my personal preference (and a lot of other people’s I would hope to guess as well!) We saw a few dresses in this style at end of summer, but this see through mesh fabric is huge for this season. Typically, this time of year is associated with bright fabrics and pastel color palettes. I am loving a more edgy look to go against the mold.
Truth be told, I am not a floral print fanatic. I do not find myself to be particularly drawn to its style; however, I will probably run to a clothing rack if I spot an embroidered item with intricate detailing. The floral embroidered detailing on this dress combines my comfort zone with an edgy twist. And who doesn’t love a safe bet?!
I originally picked up this dress to wear to a rehearsal dinner, but I decided to save it for another occasion. Whether a romantic dinner with your honey, cocktails on a Friday night with your girls, or even a nighttime wedding, would all be great opportunities to wear a dress like this.
On a more personal note, I am so sorry I haven’t posted in a few days. It has been a whirlwind of a week celebrating the marriage of my best friend and her bow! I was the maid of honor and with the bachelorette, rehearsal dinner, and wedding in the same weekend, you could say I am champagned out! I mean is that even possible?! There are times when it truly is a very challenging battle to balance blogger, mother, wife, teacher, along with many other responsibilities. I think as women, we try so hard to be super woman. We want to do it all. But there are times when you just can’t be everything to everyone. I’d love to start that conversation with you in an upcoming post if you would be interested in that! You may not have it together all the time, but at least your outfit can make it look like you do! Happy Tuesday loves. Stop back soon for some upcoming Easter dress inspiration!
