Valentine’s Day always seems to sneak up so fast after Christmas! And even though we still have two weeks, I wanted to give you a little early inspiration. I have several Vday looks planned for you, and you know that means you’ll be seeing a lot of pink! Even if you are not the biggest fan of this Holiday, it can still give you an excuse to get all dressed up for a night out with your man or girlfriends!
For whatever reason, Valentine’s Day has got me thinking about old memories. I have always loved the Holiday, mainly because I have never taken it too seriously. And most of the time, I used it as an excuse to hang out with my girls and pass out cheesy cartoon V Day cards! Last year, several of my friends flew to Vegas for the weekend, and we actually had a cute themed brunch and I believe we actually went hiking that day as well!
You don’t have to fall into all the clichés, or make it into a big deal. Although, one year the hubby went all out and planned a romantic facial and massage for us and then made dinner plans afterward. But OMG, DO NOT GO OUT TO DINNER AFTER A FACIAL! It seriously looked like someone had taken me into a back alley! I tried to throw on some makeup and a little black dress, but there wasn’t much that could be done about the situation. But lesson learned, you definitely want to take it easy for a day or two after an hour facial with extractions!
This year, I will probably be going the more traditional route and wearing something pink and girly like this long sleeve ruffle top. I am also planning a romantic dinner that I will be making a blog post on for you all. I am definitely not the world’s greatest cook, but I do think I do a good job at making healthy meals that taste pretty great to me!
Have you started thinking about Valentine’s Day plans yet? If not, don’t worry. I will have plenty of ideas for you on the blog in the next two weeks! Happy Friday!
