We all have dreams. Big ones, little ones, and even some silly fantasies. Maybe it is something you saw in a movie, or a passion you’ve had since you were young. But we all have something that makes our heart batter with excitement. One of my favorite “dream come true” moments was actually when I was a sophomore in college and I was studying abroad. Ever since I had watched the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, I had wanted to ride up stairs in the middle of Greece on a donkey. Do you remember that part of the movie? Well, I was walking around Santorini with my friend and we came across a man with a sign that said “5 Euro for a Donkey Ride.” I nearly shit myself. My friend and I climbed on the back of our own little donkeys and they carried us all the way to the top of the city. While it was happening, I knew it would be a moment I would remember for the rest of my life.

Life doesn’t always give of those grand moments on the regular. But sometimes the simple pleasures can be just as meaningful. If you follow me on Snapchat, or watch my Instagram stories (both usernames are glamlifeliving), then you probably know I was in L.A this weekend. We crammed so much in just 30 hours and had an amazing time. I will actually talk a lot more about our trip in another post this week, but on Saturday we had the chance to walk around Rodeo Drive and I had another “dream come true” moment.

You see, I am definitely a planner. I legit had an itinerary for the short time we were there. But the funny thing is, one of my favorite moments from the trip was something I hadn’t planned or even knew could happen. As we were strolling around rodeo drive and shooting this look, I spotted the Laduree sign out of the corner of my eye. I stopped dead in my tracks and had to take a closer look to make sure my eyes weren’t playing tricks on me. I let out a squeal when I realized it really was the Laduree Macaroon Shop. My husband was super confused by my excitement, but I dragged him across the street to allow me to indulge myself in some tasty sweets.

Now, if you are a Gossip Girl fan, you might remember Blair loved to snack on these famous macaroons while soaking in her bathtub. I have been wanting to visit this luxurious little shop for a while now, but I had no idea there was one in L.A. It was the simple pleasure in visiting a macaroon store that seemed like a dream come true. Sometimes the smallest of moments can bring you some of your greatest joy. You just have to be open to adventure. I could have stuck to my itinerary. I could have even been so stuck on my goal that I might not have even noticed the sign. But we have to keep our heads up and be ready for an opportunity for a  little adventure or dream come true moment.

So, let’s keep our heads up today.

Thanks for reading.
