I have a soft spot for things that shimmer and shine. It has been a weakness of mine for a while now, and I find that the attraction to “all that glitters” still applies when I reach for my makeup products in the morning. Over the past few years, highlighters have arisen from the beauty grave and become one of the most hyped about beauty products in the cosmetic industry. And I am all about it!
Today I am sharing with you my top favorite highlighters. I reach for these beauties on the daily and they always kick my makeup look up a notch. There is just something so feminine about glistening cheekbones!
1. Becca Shimmer Skin Perfector in Opal
This highlighter is heaven sent! One dip with your brush and you have an oasis of shimmer.
The beige color is absolutely stunning on the cheekbones.
2. Mary- Lou Manizer by the Balm
This champagne shimmer is so pigmented to the touch.
Mary- Lou is one of the most popular highlighter of all time,
and it is well deserved with its gorgeous reflection.
This is a cream to powder highlighter that applies smooth and creamy but then dries to a powder consistency. The color is also in the champagne family.
This product gives a luminous golden glow. This is a staple in many Makeup Artist’s professional kits,
and has made a name for itself in the beauty junkies’ makeup collections!
This is the most natural looking highlight in my favorites as it gives a luminosity to the skin without a high shimmer. It’s pinky gold undertone is flawless on the cheekbones with a natural radiance.
How to Apply it!
I like to use my Sigma Tapered Highlighter brush to apply the products. It gives a more controlled application to the cheekbones with its tapered end. ELF cosmetics also makes a version of this brush for a much cheaper price!
