When was the last time you had a picnic? I remember in high school, my boyfriend and I would load up a bunch of goodies and take a trip to a local field and sit and enjoy the beautiful scenery. There was something so peaceful about enjoying a meal in nature. But now with busy schedules and a kiddo, I can’t even remember the last time enjoyed a relaxing picnic.
For Mother’s Day, I told my husband that I wanted to take some photos in our favorite Dallas spots before we moved to Florida. We had discovered this fairytale like scenery in University Park right before we left and I fell in love the moment I stumbled across it. I had been on the look out for a picnic basket for awhile, and I found this one at an antique store right before we left. If you are on the lookout for one, I found this one that is adorable for a great price!
A picnic is a great way to spend quality time with that special someone. Maybe for your next date night you can surprise your lover by getting dressed up and finding that perfect fairytale like spot to enjoy a meal. I loved how fun and flirty this Shoshanna striped maxi dress was for the occasion. But I found similar dress options here and here!
Mark it on your calendar to make time to be in nature this week. Make it a whole event by getting dolled up and having a romantic setting with your lover. My husband and I plan to take some time to do that this week as well!
Thanks so much for reading today’s post.
