Dressing up for Halloween has been something that has excited me for as long as I can remember. The first costume from childhood that I remember was a hysterical parrot costume that my grandmother had bought for me. A few others I recall dressing as was Sleeping Beauty, Mulan, St. Joan of Arc, and Meg from Hercules. Most of the time, we were not able to afford fancy costumes. My mom always did an amazing job throwing together costumes that made us feel in character at a low cost.
Now having the opportunity to dress up with my own child has brought a whole new level of joy. The past few years we have had fun dressing up together as a family. Last year, my husband and I were lion tamers and little Oliver was a lion. I will have a round up of our previous Halloween costumes coming soon.
