What I’m Wearing
Dress: Hutch, Similar, Similar // Wedges: Soludos // Sunglasses: Similar // Earrings: Similar, Similar // Bag: Vintage
There is something about red gingham that gives me major 1950s vibes. I might look like a picnic blanket but I am just fine with that! As my love affair with all things vintage continues, I wanted a fun look that I could walk around in Vegas that reflected my style, but was still easy to wear. You would be so surprised at how comfortable these Soludos wedges were for walking around the strip.
After living in Vegas for close to 3 years and now being back, I feel like I have a few tips and tricks up my sleeves in terms of how to dress for Vegas appropriately and fashionably. I have rounded up my advice for how to pick out an outfit for a day of walking in Vegas, so keep scrolling to get the detail!
1. Shoes, Shoes, Shoes
Girl, let me tell you from experience. You do not want to go walking around Vegas in Louboutins. Trust me, I have been there and done that. I actually even wore them this trip for this shoot. The shoes you wear are seriously so important and can take the fun right out of Vegas. I wouldn’t even recommend wearing flip flops or cheap flats. By the end of the day, your feet will be killing you. The two shoes I personally recommend wearing are either loafers or wedges. If you are going for a super casual day walking around, then of course sneakers are a good option as well.
2. Easy Breezy Covergirl
You’ll definitely want to stay away from super tight clothing during the daytime. Even in the spring and fall, Las Vegas can get so stick’n hot! Your clothes will feel like they are glued to you if you wear something that is made of spandex and sucks to you. Opt for lightweight and breezy fabrics for daywear. Save those bodycon outfits for the club. Something that is spaghetti strapped and a-line is ideal because of all of the airflow.
3. Accessorize Like You Mean It
You are in Vegas for heaven sake! Get wild. Go for the bold earrings, bright handbag, and crazy print shoes. If you can’t let go in Las Vegas, when can you? You’ll see so many bold and bright bags walking down the strip. But don’t stop there, try some fun sunglasses to protect your eyes and hide the fact that you are a little hungover.
