Happy Halloween! I can’t believe it is already the end of October! I am a little sad that I have to put away my Halloween decorations, but I know in no time I will be putting up my first Christmas tree! My husband and I have been married for a little over two years and we have yet to buy a Christmas tree. We have had a bad habit of moving right around the holidays (it is happening again this year!). But we both made a promise that we will get one no matter what this time around. I am telling you, I am ready to start listening to Christmas music ASAP.

Anyway, let’s get back to Halloween… geez one holiday at a time girl! Did anyone do anything fun this weekend? Any elaborate costume parties? James and I just went to a local bar that was having a little Halloween party. It was fun, but we actually ended up leaving early to get vegan wings. We are getting so old! But today, I am going to work dressed as a nurse. I know so boring! But this year all the first grade teachers decided on a nurse theme. I’ll try to get a quick picture for you and put it on Instagram before I leave the house.

I miss the good ole days of trick or treating around the neighborhood. There are some pretty amazing memories that I cherish of Halloween pasts. I remember the first Halloween party that I ever threw. I was around 10 I think and we were traveling in Oklahoma. We were staying in this really cool “tree house” cabin and I wanted to have a little party with my siblings since we weren’t able to go trick or treating in our neighborhood back home. I went all out and even had my mom cook spaghetti so that I could take my brothers and sisters in the garage and make them stick their hand in the slimy bowl! But hey, that is what older sisters are for. There is nothing better than seeing the little ones all dressed up. I even decorated our porch area so that trick or treaters will stop by our apartment this evening!

Have a safe and joyful Halloween!
