A Nude Dress That Will Stand the Test of Time

Let’s just say nesting has kicked in; however, not in the way you might think. I have had this overwhelming urge to reorganize my closet and beauty products. I may or may not have been caught walking around my house with a trash bag, trying to find things to throw in it! I think a lot of it has to do with the sense that things are changing and are about to change even more. When I look in my closet especially, a lot of my items just don’t seem like me anymore. And let me tell you, having the desire to redo your entire wardrobe 25 weeks pregnant is not a good idea. I mean it’s not like this is the ideal time to stock up on staples when you have an expanding belly with a human growing inside you! While keeping my urges of purchasing a whole new wardrobe in check, I have also tried to be a little smarter about the items I am purchasing now. I am trying to find new items that can work not only now, but also after the baby is born.

Last weekend, I came across this dress and thought it was such a classic and timeless item. Not only can I wear it now being pregnant, but I also think it will still be a nice item to go back to after this large and in charge belly returns to it’s usual size. #fingerscrossedIloosethisbabyweight

This whole pregnancy has made me change the way I shop. Thinking about how an item will fit into your future is a great way to decide on a purchase. Are you positive you will wear it again? Can it be styled multiple ways? Is it only good for a specific type of occasion, or can it work for multiple life events? Your closet should be a place that not only inspires you, but also caters to your daily lifestyle. So today’s advice is shop a little smarter and hold out for the items that really make sense in the long run.

P.S I got this dress from H&M. I had the hardest time finding it online even though I just bought it. I linked several dresses that are SO similar. But you can always head to your local H&M and see if you can find it! Thanks for reading.
