Fall Fashion in Sleeveless Sweater on Glam Life Living

Welcome back fashionistas! Oh my goodness, it was such a busy weekend! On Friday, the hubs and I went to a LA Kings hockey game. Then Saturday, we ran a bunch of errands and then met up with my sister-in-law at the Luxor Casino. And yesterday was our local renaissance festival! Don’t forget to follow me on Snapchat (glamlifeliving) to get little glimpses of my daily life! Anyway, because my weekend was jam packed with events, I feel like I really need to kick it into gear and get organized today. So I thought it would be fun to get organized together!

When I start to feel a little overwhelmed or flustered, these are the things that I like to do to feel like I have a handle on life again!

1. Wake Up Early

It might be too late for that one today, but there is always tomorrow! I find the days I am the most stressed are when I am rushing to get to work. I am that person that likes to take my time in the morning, enjoy her coffee, and prepare for the day. But when I make the decision to sleep in a little later, I always regret it! Give yourself just a little extra time to make sure you are well prepared for the day’s events.

2. Clean the House

When your space is clean and organized, it can do amazing things for your mind and body. You feel less stressed and your mind often feels brighter. Even if your schedule is packed today, try to find just 15 minutes to tidy up as much as you can. Often, I like to get up a little earlier to leave work with a cleaner apartment.

3. Whip Out That Planner

I have an up and down relationship with planners. I will go months using them religiously, and then I totally forget to use them! I have recently been neglecting my planner and today I am busting it out again. I try to plan at last a week at a time. I like to include blog posts coming up, work to do lists, upcoming appointments, bills due, weekly goals, or even meal planning. I have been enjoying The Happy Planner and love all the stickers you can buy to decorate it!

4. Tackle 2 Annoying Tasks

Whether it is filing your mail, scheduling an appointment, or paying a bill, pick 2 small tasks that annoy you and tackle it quickly! It is often the smallest little things on our “to do” lists that bring us the most anxiety. Checking off just two items will make you feel great!

5. List It out!

Making a list can be so therapeutic! Make a million lists today. Make a list of goals, meal plans, budgets, shopping lists, WHATEVER! I guarantee you that just making a list will make you feel like you lost a couple of pounds. Now put that list in your planner girl!

6. Dress Cute!

This might seem a little odd, but when I look put together, I often feel put together! Wearing heels makes me think I can accomplish more. I actually feel more empowered wearing heels! And when you feel empowered, you can tackle anything.

How will you get organized today?!
