I hope everyone had a beautiful Christmas yesterday! I am still in New York visiting my family and we took it pretty easy just hanging out, eating good food, and opening presents. I know a lot of you are still visiting with loved ones, so I figured I would bring you an easy and cozy look since we have been doing a lot of glam Holiday looks recently. Today is actually my husband’s birthday, so we will be running around trying to make the day special for him. But seriously, a birthday the day after Christmas? Who planned that 😉

Looking cute and staying warm can be quite the battle. But I have found that the key is in the accessorizing. When you have to wear something a little more bulky to stay cozy, you can throw on scarves, hats, cute boots, and a nice bag to make you look a little more chic. I have been loving this pink scarf because it has been perfect for travel and staying warm. I am not normally an ear muff person, but I couldn’t say no to these fuzzy pink ones from H&M.

Layering is definitely the key to looking good in freezing weather. Here are a few of my tips when it comes to layering.

1. Create a Color Scheme

I like to stick to 2-3 colors when creating a look. When your accessories all vary in color, I feel  like it can look thrown together and unplanned. In this look, I chose pink, black, with a pop of brown

2. Choose Pieces That Can Be Removed Easily

We all know how frustrating it can be to get all bundled up to brave the weather, just to go shopping at your local mall to feel bulky and overheated. That is why I like to layer with pieces that I can easily remove if I get too hot.

3. Neutral Jackets are Always a Win

Although I am not wearing a jacket in this look, although I should have, neutrals compliment any look. That way you can just throw on your jacket without worrying how it will look with the outfit under it. But don’t let that scare you from sporting a pop of color every once in a while!

Well that is it for today! Thanks for stopping by. I am heading out to spoil the hubby on his birthday! Stay warm.
