Last Minute July 4th Outfit

Dressing for the Fourth of July can sometimes be a tricky task. Do you go classic red, white, and blue? Or does that feel too cheesy to you? Are you a simple girl and just throw on shorts and a tee and call it a day? I think the key in nailing this Holiday’s iconic color palette is to avoid equal parts of each color in your ensemble. Choose 1-2 of colors. Then accessorize or give a little pop of that last shade. In this look, I choose white and blue. My only pop of red is in my lipstick. Last week I shared A Stylish Fourth of July Outfit. This centered around a blue maxi dress with pops of red in my shades and lipstick as well. If you need another idea of what to wear you can check out that post.

If you don’t feel comfortable wearing heels (I totally get it), then you can switch these polka dot kitten heels for an espadrille or wedge. I personally don’t love shorts. Wearing a skirt or dress actually feels like a more comfortable option for me. A hat is also an ideal accessory to add because you don’t have to worry about keeping your hair nice while spending the day in the summer heat!

I know that there are far more practical outfit choices for this more casual Holiday. But what fun is there in that? You know I like to go a little extra. Life is too short to hold back! I hope you enjoy your time with family and friends as you celebrate your freedom. What are you doing for the Fourth?

Thanks of reading babes.
