As it was highly requested to share some of our favorite spots from our most recent trip to Charleston. I decided to do a massive round up of all of the places we ate and things we did while in Charleston. One thing I noticed while I was searching for places to go in Charleston was that aesthetics were not highly talked about. For me, I want the places we go to not only taste yummy, but to also be beautiful! I also wanted to note that there were a few stores that were on my list to visit, but were still closed due the pandemic. I will list them as an option for you to go to as things will have hopefully changed when you have your visit!
So without further rambling, here is our Charleston itinerary!
Friday
We arrived in the afternoon, and after checking into our hotel and freshening up, we took a walk around King Street to take in our location and see what we had available to us. We stayed on King Street and I highly recommend staying here as you will be able to walk to so many things, which will lower your need to Uber or drive.
After walking around, we headed to Uncork for cocktails and appetizers. This place had incredible cocktails, but it is really known for its wine bar. So if you are a wine lover, you can’t miss this!

From drinks, we went back to the hotel to change into our evening attire and prepare for our dinner reservations at Chez Nous. This sweet restaurant gives you all the french countryside vibes as it serves a unique and small handwritten menu. The food is amazing and atmosphere was my favorite in all of Charleston. If you are French lover, this is a must.

After dinner, we went for more drinks at The Cocktail Club, where we finished our evening with this romantic speakeasy style bar.
Saturday
For breakfast, we wanted a light and easy option, as we knew we would be eating a lot throughout the day. We opted for Babas on Cannon, which is a cute café like setting that serves affordable and quick eats like avocado toast, quiches, sandwiches, salads, and a few other brunch options. They also serve coffee, lattes, wines, and beer as well. This avocado toast was on a local vegan grit bread and was delicious!
We spend most of the morning and afternoon walking around King Street. Here are a few notable places we loved!
Shopping
George C Birlant & Co Antique Shop
There are so many stores and places to see on King Street. These are just a few places that I remember really enjoying!
After shopping for a while, we grabbed some ice cream at Jeni’s to hold us over before our evening outing. This ice cream was so freaking good. If you need a sweet treat, Sugar Bakeshop is also so adorable and delicious, we didn’t go this trip because we went last time we visited. But I highly recommend it!
After we shopped till we dropped, we headed to Rainbow Row (East Bay Street) and The Battery. This is the area of Charleston that has all of the colored houses that attract all the tourists for photo ops! We shot some photos, and took in the beautiful scenery. Make sure you find the old historic cobblestone streets. My two favorites are Chalmers Street and N. Adgers Whalf.

After all that walking, we had worked up an appetite. We headed back to our hotel to change for cocktails and appetizers. The Mill House Wyndham is that light pink hotel that you often see bloggers take pictures in front of. We did a shoot outside the hotel, and then headed to the hotel’s Barbadoes Room, where we ate outside in their picture perfect quartyard. We ordered a cheese board and a few cocktails to hold us over before our dinner reservations.

Our final stop for the day was dinner and drinks at Felix Bar. Their drink menu is HUGE. We stayed here for hours eating small plates and entrees and enjoying the enormous cocktail menu. Then we called it a night and binged a few hotel movies that were airing, including The Devil Wears Prada and 27 Dresses.
Sunday
For brunch, we wanted something healthy but delicious so we opted for Basic Kitchen. We started with a few juices and drinks. I got the Super Green Juice and my husband got the Beet Marg. I ordered the Surfer’s Delight and an iced tumeric latte. They both were amazing, but the latte was so good, I had to get another to go! Last time we were in Charleston, we went to One Broad Street for brunch and the atmosphere and food there was great too!

We finished our trip by wandering around Broad Street, Church Street, and a few other quaint streets in the area. We popped by the Historic Charleston City Market and left after that!

The great thing about Charleston is that there is really so much to see and do that you just can’t fit it all in one trip. And as my bus driver in Ireland once told us, “Not seeing everything you want during a stay gives you a reason to come back in the future.”
I hope you enjoyed this travel guide to Charleston. If you did, please share it with a friend!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
