December is the prime time for rocking that glamorous red lip. Although many are a little nervous to sport such a bold lip, it is actually stunning on pretty much everyone! Having confidence in yourself is the only thing you need to wear a red lip! I picked out eight red lipsticks at many different price points so that you can find your perfect red this Holiday season!

red lips

1. YSL Rouge Volupte in 17– This is the most expensive and luxurious lipstick on the list. It is creamy, insanely pigmented, and sosophisticated. However, I would not recommend this for a person who has never worn a bold lip before because the bullet is not shaped with a point, which makes it a little more difficult to apply. You need to apply a lip liner before you apply this lipstick. But it is just so gorgeous!

2. Mac Ruby Woo– This is one of Mac’s best selling shades. It is matte and long wearing and has that classic blue toned red look. This is definitely one of my favorites.

3. Nars Lip Pencil in Luxembourg– This creamy lip pencil has a satin finish and is on the more pink side of the red spectrum. If you like more bright and berry like reds, you will enjoy this shade.

4. Milani Lipstick in Cherry Crave– This a more warm toned red that has a slight metallic shimmer that is almost golden. It has a more reflective and pearlescent finish to it. This is a great affordable option for changing up your Holiday look.

5. NYX Lipstick in Snow White– This creamy lipstick is another blue toned red but it does not have a matte finish. It has a slight sheen to it. In a nut shell, it is a SNOW WHITE lip color.

6. Too Faced Melted Lipstick in Melted Ruby– I am a huge fan of these melted lipsticks. They apply like a gloss but then they dry matte and act like a stain, which lasts for hours! This is described as a “Blood Red.”

7. Color Pop Cosmetics in Bichette– This is more of a deep red wine color and super affordable at $5. They are a new online brand that is quickly making a name for itself in the cosmetic industry.

8. Wet and Wild Mega Last Lipstick in Spotlight Red– In one of my recent blog posts, I raved about these Wet and Wild lipsticks! They are matte and apply smoothly! Best part is they are less than $2! You can’t beat that!

I am also waiting to receive a Gerard Cosmetics lipstick in the color Fire Engine, which is supposed to be that “Old Hollywood” red color! Stay tuned to find out if it gets a “thumbs up!”

Happy Shopping!
