The Christmas spirit is officially in full swing. My husband likes to wait until after Thanksgiving to put up the tree and start the festivities. So, I finally got to decorating, but now my mind is all about Holiday style. If you read my 6 Trends to Wear This Season, then you know that velvet is the “it” fabric this year. I find the material to be so festive in itself! I have a lot of Holiday looks coming your way, but I wanted to kickstart the season with this green dress!
Even though this time of year there is a lot more leeway in terms of what is “acceptable” to wear, (AKA sequins and glitter can be worn to work just because it is the month of December) you can still be left confused as to what party dress is a little over the top. Let’s just say, I think you should save the blinking lights for your ugly Christmas sweater parties! If you are nervous about selecting your party dress, I say start simple. Go for a jewel toned color, but make it fun with the texture of the fabric. Velvet has a classy factor to it, but is also trending for the season. Not to mention it is totally sexy! My husband was actually quite fond of this dress *wink *wink.
If you are looking for a party look that can accommodate your many Christmas parties, I say go velvet. This particular dress could easily transition to work for many different Holiday get togethers.
