Tis the season for pumpkin overload! You should be eating so many pumpkin related food items that your face begins to turn orange! Obviously, I am joking but my pumpkin spice latte to water ratio is a little disproportionate!
Today I am bringing you something a little different on the blog! I have been wanting to attempt to make a healthy version of a pumpkin smoothie. I even challenged myself to not look up any ideas on Pinterest to see what I could come up with on my own. And it turned out pretty good! I will say it does have a strong pumpkin flavor. So obviously if you don’t like pumpkin you won’t like this!
To be honest, I have been a little off my health kick lately. I am just now trying to get motivated to get back to the level of health I was a couple of months ago. Recently I would say that I have been “lazy” healthy. I haven’t been excited about cooking and I am getting bored of my usual recipes. That is why I am excited to spice it up with this fun new recipe! The best part about it is that it takes very few ingredients. It seriously is so easy! I hope you enjoy!
Recipe
1 frozen banana
1/2 Cup of pumpkin puree
Almond milk or coconut milk (amount depends on blender size)
2 Tsp of Pumpkin Pie Spice (I actually ended up putting more in)
1/2 Tsp of Cinnamon (optional)
Stevia for sweetness
Directions
Combine all the ingredients in the blender. Serve with whipped cream and sprinkle with cinnamon.
If you decide to make it, let me know what you think! And don’t forget to stop by again tomorrow for a new outfit post!
