Do you have an instance in your life that sticks out as being the “light bulb” moment? I remember mine. I was studying abroad in Austria and taking a Psychology of the Human person course by a brilliant woman. There is not a lot about her class that I remember except for the difficulty of the tests. But aside from all of the long hours spent studying, I remember one moment in her course quite vividly. As she was going about her lecture she said something that hit me like a ton of bricks. And it was about showing people the beauty in this world. Ever since that moment, I knew what I was meant to do was to show people that life was to be lived fully. My calling was to inspire and show that amidst the torments and sadness that this world brings, there is still so much beauty and joy to be enjoyed and lived.
That is a huge reason why I was drawn to teaching. I wanted to inspire young minds and teach them to live as fully as possible. And this same belief is how Glam Life Living was born. Recently, I have brought up a lot of life’s struggles. I don’t like to go into too much detail of personal issues on this site, but I do want you to understand that I too go through difficulty in my everyday life. But I choose to bring as much positively to my day as I can. And it all starts with clothing. I know if I dress well, I will feel a little better. And if I feel a little better, I will act more confidently. If I act more confident, I will perform stronger. If I perform at higher levels, I will be more successful. It is a continuous cycle.
Yes. I do like luxurious things. But it all starts from a place of showing people that even among sadness and hardship, we can choose to see with a rose colored lense. Even on our most difficult days, we still have so much to be thankful for. I believe in celebrating life as much as possible. That is what Glam Life Living is all about. Celebrating life and seeing it’s beauty no matter your circumstances or budget.
Glam Life Living is a state of mind. It’s about seizing the day, everyday. It starts with your clothes, but travels throughout your whole being, especially your attitude. You can live glamorously in your everyday life, if you choose it. I choose to enjoy the little things. My hot cup of coffee in the morning, a romantic and elegant dress, bow detailed heels, a nice glass or rosé in a gorgeous glass in the evening, or an old movie. The truth is that if we focus on the negatives in our lives, we will distort our view to be such. But if we try to have a more positive outlook on life, we might just be surprised at the little luxuries to come our way.
How will you live glamorously today? Thanks for reading!
