There is something about coming back after a vacation that feels even more overwhelming than right before the break. You are suddenly hit with reality and the pile of work that stacked up while you were away. So if anyone else’s head is spinning right now, I am totally with you!
I thought that we would add a little fun back into our work week with a fun and floral post! This spring, there have been two fashion trends that I have been super into.
1. Yellow
2. Vintage Florals
I think because yellow was all over the spring runways, retailers everywhere created so many gorgeous designs in all shades of yellow. I have found myself draw to the shade more than ever before. And obviously it is no secret that florals are a spring staple, but I am loving patterns that have a slightly retro or vintage vibe. I am especially loving adding a bit of florals to my accessories like my hair pieces, scarfs, and handbags!
It can be easy to hold ourselves back in fashion boxes, saying that certain fabrics or prints should not be mixed together. For example, many of us are held back from buying patterned bags because we are afraid of them clashing with the other prints in our closet. We don’t often think about getting a floral bag because we have so many floral dresses and we would rather wear the bag with a solid color dress. Although you can’t go wrong with the methodology, it can be so much more fun to take some risks!
I love the idea of matching a floral print dress with a floral print bag! Here is the secret: match the color palettes! Another tip is to have one print larger in scale and the other smaller. For example, if your dress has large flowers, pick a floral bag that has small flowers and vice versa. Take a look at your closet. Do most of your floral dress have big flowers or small? Are you draw to a particular color wave? Do a little investigating before setting on your specific floral bag.
I have rounded up my top picks for floral handbags for every price point. My personal favorites are this blue floral print and the pink floral print from Neely & Chloe. But you are sure to find the perfect one for you!
What were your favorite picks? Are you more of a neutral bag carrier? Would you consider stepping outside of your comfort zone with a floral bag?
Thanks so much for reading today’s post!
