What I’m Wearing
Fall may be on on our calendars, but many of us are in locations where we are still sweating ourselves to death in 80 and 90 degree weather. You know when Trader Joes has their fall items out that it is basically fall no matter what the temperature is outside. I have been itching to create fall looks, and I honestly haven’t let the hot weather stop me. Today, I wanted to bring you a look that was fall appropriate in color scheme, but would be comfortable to wear to a fall event such as a wedding. This AFRM dress is under $140 and is such a great addition to the fall closet collection because it can be worn several ways. You can dress it up with heels as I did here for a dressier event. Or you can pair it back with a denim jacket and sneakers for a casual weekend look. Or give it an even more fall vibe by pairing it with booties and a leather jacket! I think often times we look at dresses and think, “When will I wear that?” But really we can take so many of the items in our closets and style them differently with a few slight touches!
I don’t actually have any weddings to attend until April and then another in May. But this dress would also be lovely for Thanksgiving as well. I also found this particular style to be very figure flattering with the elastic, expandable waist. The slit does come up high, but I didn’t find it to be an issue when I walked and moved. I really do think this would look so cute paired with tall boots as well!
