If you follow me on Snapchat [glamlifeliving], you will know that last weekend my husband had to go to California for a business trip and I was able to take the drive with him and have a little weekend getaway! We were able to travel to several parts of Cali during the short time we were there and I thought it might be fun to share with you some of the places we went and things we saw!

The first day of our trip we were in Rancho Cucamonga and we stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn. James had meetings all morning so that left me to do some exploring. California is known for their healthy green juices, so you bet I started my day with some green goodness! Later that day, I found my way to Victoria Gardens, which is basically shopping heaven. Victoria Secret was having their semi annual sale so you bet this girl got her some goodies! For dinner, we met up with some of his work colleagues at Yard House. We ended the night at a colleague’s house and had a little too much wine 😉

The next day, we drove to Orange County and checked into our hotel at the Crown Plaza in Costa Mesa. I loved the location of our hotel because it was a 15 minute drive to any of the surrounding beaches. Our first beach stop was Laguna of course! Teenage memories of watching the show Laguna Beach had me a little too exited to live the experience. Unfortunately my plans of becoming a bronzed goddess were quickly let down when I realized it was going to be in sixties our entire trip! Although I must admit it was a nice change in comparison to Vegas’ 110 degree weather!

For lunch, we ate at a the Taverna Restaurant in Laguna, which had the most adorable french looking patio decor. I was tempted to try and steal a bistro chair, but knew I was not that stealthy! Instead of stealing the chair, I settled for a gluten free pizza. After lunch, we took a romantic stroll down the beach. And then we got to work and took the pictures in this post!

Later that day, I headed over to Fashion Island and drooled over all the items in a Luxury Consignment Shop Called On Que Style. It was Chanel this Chanel that, and I tried my best not to pet the merchandise! It was here where I had my first “eye rape” experience. The sales associate was desperate to know if I had designer labels and even straight out asked me the designer of my shoes. I almost felt violated! I kid, I kid!

The last day, we wandered over to Newport Beach and had the most relaxing day taking in the scenery and eating some amazing seafood. We ate at Blue Water Grill, which had an amazing view of the port. And girl, let me tell you, it was seafood heaven! I have actually been to that restaurant before during a previous visit to Cali and knew it was worth the plunge.

There are too many details to share in one post! But I wanted to share our experience in case there are some of you that are taking a trip to Cali in the near future and wanted some recommendations of where to go!
