Evening Eyes Makeup Look

November 14, 2014

unnamed-1Happy Friday!

I must admit I do have a soft spot for an elegant evening out. There is just something about a conversation over a beautifully ensembled meal that really intoxicates me. And there is also the aspect of dressing up! Last week, I was able to visit some family and during my visit we had the pleasure of a night out at a fancy restaurant. For my makeup, I wanted a mixture of sexy and sweet. So I created this “evening eyes” makeup look!

Eyes:

Start with the eyes since you will be using a lot of shimmery colors.

Place Fuzzy Handcuffs(matte neutral shade) in the crease of the eye. Deepen the crease with a purple shade (Voulez- Vous).

Use a flat shader brush(click here to read my Brush Class post) to apply Sugar Walls (a shimmery beige) on the lid. Apply Lap Dance on the center of your eyelid(a shimmery purple).

Apply French Tickler (a shimmery black) on the outer V of the eye. Also, buff that shade with a pencil brush on the lower lash line. And rim your waterline with black eye liner.

Create a wing for your eye liner and then place your falsies on. Click here to learn how to apply false lashes.

unnamed-5Face:

Prep your skin for foundation with either a primer or a moisturizer. Then apply your foundation with a flat top kabuki brush and buff the foundation into your skin. Apply concealer under your eyes in an upside down triangle shape. Also apply concealer on the bridge of your nose, a little on the forehead, and chin.

Bronze or contour your skin by applying the bronzer in the hollows of your cheeks, temples, and sides of the forehead. Bring the bronzer along your jaw line and down your neck. I also took a little bronzer on a eye shadow blending brush and took the product down the sides of the nose to make the nose appear slimmer. Apply a shimmery highlighter to the cheek bones, down the bridge of the nose, and above the cupids bow (top of your lips).

Set your face with a loose setting power so the makeup lasts all night!
unnamed-3Lips:

Line your lips with a pinky/ nude lip liner.

Fill in your lips with a pink lipstick ( Too Faced melted lipstick in melted peony)

Top off the lips with a pink gloss (NYX butter gloss in Vanilla Creme Pie)!

Then you are all “glammed” up and ready for an elegant evening out!

Enjoy your weekend!
