Now if we are all being honest with ourselves, we have secretly at one time or another belted “Let it Go” the song from Frozen at the top of our lungs. Or maybe that is just me! Frozen is one of those movies that is undeniably adorable. That is why everyone wants to be Elsa, the ice queen for Halloween this year. Its hard not to like her honestly. She is strong, independent, feisty, sophisticated, powerful, and beautiful! Why wouldn’t you want to be her!

This year my husband and I decided to throw a Brothers Grimm themed Halloween party for small group of family and friends. Basically we are all dressing up as fairytale characters and I chose to be Elsa! I wanted to create a makeup look that was similar to her cartoon character. This Halloween makeup look is great for an upcoming Halloween party or even going out trick or treating with your friends or kids.

editTo begin this makeup look you will need the following products:

foundation (Make Up Forever HD)

concealer (MAC NW2o)

a light pink blush (Illamasqua in Katie)

eye shadows- light brown, orangey brown, dark purple, deep purple, and a dark pink/fuchsia (Urban Decay Vice 3 Palette)

black eye liner (MAC gel liner)

False eye lashes (House of Lashes in Iconic)

Pink Lipstick (MAC Girl About Town)

First, let’s start with the eyes. In the crease of the eye, you are going to take a light brown (1-Downfall) on a blending brush and sweep back and forth in windshield wiper motions. Do this for a while! You really want to create a transition shade here. I actually did this step twice to give more depth. Next take a flat shader brush and a purple shade(2- Vanity) and place that all over your eyelid. Now take a dark pink shade (3- Alchemy) and place that only in the center of your eyelid. Next take a deep/dark purple (4-Bondage) on a very small brush, and work that into the outer half of your lid, creating a V shape. Last, take a shimmery white (5- Bobby Dazzle) and place that in the inner corner and on the brow bone. It shows up a lot more pigmented in person. Don’t be afraid to pack this one on. It is a very”Ice Queen” like color! For the eyeliner, you really want to create a dramatic wing shape. Then apply a pair of very intense false lashes. These are the most dramatic pair that I own! Now at this point, you show go onto doing the rest of your face (details later in the post) then AFTER CONCEALER, you are going to take a light brown (1) with a pencil brush and smoke that under your eyes. Then you will take a dark purple (4) on a small definer brush and create eyeliner on your lower lash line. Take the pencil brush again and smoke out your lower lash line to create a more blended look.

Once your eyes are done, clean up your under eyes and get rid of any eyeshadow that fell. Now prep your skin. Put on some primer or moisturizer and then apply your foundation. Then take your concealer and apply it in a large v shape under your eyes and then blend it out. I also applied a little on the bottom part of my forehead and chin. This creates a highlighting effect. Skip the bronzer today because you are a Snow Queen, not a Bronzed Godess! Then a apply some light pink blush on the apples of your cheeks and along your cheek bones. Then set your face with a light powder. I only applied mine in my T zone.

Elsa had very bright pink lips. So be bold in your color choice of lipstick for this look. I used MAC cosmetics Girl About Town. Now your look is finished! For a quickened version of this look, apply a purple eye shadow all over the lid. An organgy brown color in the crease, some bold lashes, a pink lipstick, and you are good to go!
