Sweater: Similar Dress: Similar Shoes: Similar Bag: Here
Have you ever been getting ready for an event, and you just stood in your closet wishing you could just go in a sweater and leggings? I know I have! Even though I love fashion, I also despise being uncomfortable in my clothes. I like to look put together, but feel comfy. I mean don’t we all?
Over the past couple of weeks, I have been desperately begging the weather to hit below 80! More than anything, I want to live in my comfy sweaters. I have gotten to the point where I have just started wearing them anyway, despite the ridiculous weather. I tend to get a few crazy looks, but I am just ready for Fall to truly hit the desert.
Last weekend, I wanted to surprise my hubby with a romantic dinner, but after working all day, I wanted to stay comfy. So I decided to throw my black and white sweaters over one of my little black dresses. Add a couple of accessories and you have your look! This look is great for going out to dinner because you never know how cold the restaurants will be! I am always freezing when I go out to dinner.
On another note, I am so excited for this weekend! We have been quite adventurous these past few weeks, so I thought I would share a couple of dates that we have gone on recently to give you some ideas of a few activities you might want to try out this weekend!
1. Go to a Wine Walk
Wine walks are everything! You have so much fun, while spending a very reasonable amount of money on drinks. I have been to a couple of different events in several cities, so check and see if your local area has a wine festival coming up soon!
2. Visit Your Local Renaissance Festival
If you have been watching Ben and Lauren Happily Ever After, you would have seen how cute they were wandering around the Renaissance Festival in Denver. James and I went to one her in Vegas two weekends ago, and had such a blast! I even shot a cross bow!
3. Have a Hocus Pocus Movie Night
This movie makes me so happy! It really does define Halloween for me. I make James watch it with me every year. I must admit he basically only agrees to watch it because he loves me, but none the less, it is a much watch this time of year!
4. Do a Pumpkin Patch Photo Shoot
This is something that is on our to do list this weekend. I love going to a local patch and picking out a cute little pumpkin. Although I am not much for carving. I actually get really grossed out with taking out the seeds. *Cringing as I write this!
5. Get Tickets to a Comedy Show
We recently saw the Pen and Teller show here in Vegas and it was super entertaining! We already had a guilty pleasure of watching those cheesy magician shows on Netflix, so that date night was perfect for us. See if your local area has cheap tickets to a show.
I could honestly go on to list several more ideas, but this post is already getting so long! Let me know if you would want me to write a whole blog post on date night ideas. Happy Weekend.
