I can’t believe we are almost half way through October already! Halloween is sneaking up so quickly this year. I am usually on the ball with all things Halloween because I once was a little too obsessed with it! This year I didn’t really feel like decorating the whole apartment with spooky things, but I did want to add a little bit of decor. I decided to spruce up the bar cart and loved how it turned out! It gives me the Halloween feeling without overwhelming my apartment space.
I have always been a little to enthusiastic to dress up and play someone else for a day. Even in high school, I had a themed birthday party every year! But they were actually “the parties” to go to back in the day. I took decorating and party planning very seriously! haha. Once I actually wrote my own murder mystery party. I gave all my guests confidential folders with their character information and dressing guidelines a couple of days before the party. I am telling you, it was SERIOUS!
A couple of years ago my husband and I threw a Brothers Grimm Themed Halloween Party. I actually have a blog post on it HERE. So, I ended up using several decor items that we had originally bought for that particular party. But you can find similar items at Homegoods, Michaels, Jo-anne Fabrics, and Target.
As for the treats sign and the bottle labels, you can DIY! I found the bottle label template from Pinterest, which you can get here. And I just cut them out and glued them onto mini chalk boards that I found at Target. The sign was in a template that I found at Target as well, and then I just hole punched two holes and looped black ribbon through it.
There are so many ways you could decorate your bar area for Halloween. I just used the decorations that I already had on hand. If you want more inspiration, check out my Halloween Pinterest board here.
P.S I still can’t decide what to be for Halloween this year! Any suggestions?
I love this! I am obsessed with Halloween so this is perfect. I’ve seen a lot of Harley Quinn costumes for this year, so maybe try that! If that’s not your style you could dress like you’re going to the Kentucky Derby. 🙂
