What I’m Wearing
Dress: For Love and Lemons // Wedges: Soludos // Bag: Vintage, Similar, Similar
A little over a week ago, my little family and I packed up and started our long drive from Florida to visiting our family in upstate New York. As the drive is about 18 hours, we decided to make a few stops along the way. The first destination was to visit my sister Madeline and meet my new baby nephew in Jacksonville, SC. The next day we set out to continue our journey and decided to add another pit stop in Georgetown, Washington DC.
I immediately fell in love with the area as it reminded me of a mixture of Charleston and England. We ate a lovely dinner at the french restaurant Peacock CafĂ© and couldn’t help ourselves from stopping for a famous Insomnia cookie! While we were there, we got to walk around the area and I discovered the Greenworks Florist building. It was unfortunately abandoned from the looks of it, but it was decor love at first sight!
I knew that this floral mini dress by For Love and Lemons would be stunning in front of this pink building of my dreams. I have actually been enjoying mini dresses recently as a change up from my typical midi length. Especially as the weather has been hotter, I find them to be a more comfortable length. This was also my first experience with the brand, and I love their vintage, yet modern designs.
We plan on stopping in either Georgetown or Charleston again on our way home because we love their cities so much! We will be spending time with our families for another week. So be sure to be following me on Instagram to get some behind the scenes family time on my family farm!
