Today, I am bringing back the classic little black dress. I find it quite ironic that a dress that is all so iconic is rarely seen in the world of fashion anymore! My thoughts are that we got bored of its reliability for a time, but I say no more! Classic films like Breakfast at Tiffany’s remind us of its original luster. And we can’t forget the woman who made it a must have item back in the 1920s! Any guesses? Why it is Coco Chanel of course!
I will be honest and say that I have also been all to guilty of allowing my LBDs to hang in my closet collecting dust for a time. But when I had the opportunity to try this London Times Amalia Midi Dress, I knew my days of ignoring our classic pal were long gone. I love that this particular dress reminds me of a timeless picture of Grace Kelly wearing her elegant little black dress. A dress that gets me looking anything like our dear Grace is a complete and utter win! Speaking of vintage icons, how much do you love these retro kitten heels with the polka dot print?!
Many of us might be hesitant to wear a black number in the middle of the summer, but it really is about pairing it with the right accessories! I wore this exact look to dinner after we shot these photos, and felt completely elegant with a summer twist. The white shoes and bag make the entire look feel more hot weather appropriate. But at the end of the day, black is classic no matter the time of year.
Be a classy lady in a little black dress. It’s never the wrong time of year to be classy!
Thank you to London Times for collaborating with me on this post.
