1. Dress the Part
You had to know this one was coming. I mean you can’t have an Instagram worthy weekend without a fashionable #ootd! Even if your plans involve simple pleasures like lounging at a coffee shop or walking around an outdoor shopping center, dress in your favorite outfit. Do your hair and your makeup while you’re at it. Trust me, you will feel like a million bucks and it will instantly elevate your mood.
2. Research Trendy Spots in Your Area
You would be surprised at how many diamonds in the rough are sitting right under your nose! Often when we have lived in an area for a while, we forget to play tourist. But take off those local blinders for a second and think like a visiter! Get on Google or Pinterest and look up hip restaurants or bars in your area. This adorable spot, Cafe Lola, just opened up here in Las Vegas and it made me go full heart eye emoji!
3. Elevate Your Atmosphere
Even if you are staying in for the weekend, take it up a notch by setting the mood. You can make something as simple as a movie night in to be an Instagram worthy moment with the right candles, music, lighting, and set up. Go the extra mile and pay attention to the details.
4. Ready, Set, Pose!
Be on the constant lookout for fabulous architecture and pretty details surrounding you. It’s often in random locations that you will find the most perfect Instagram prop. Like the adorable phone and bike in these photos! And now that you have completed the first step and are dressed cute for your fun weekend anyway, you will be photo ready at all times!
