Happy Easter! What a perfect day to announce that the little egg in our basket is a boy! We are super relieved to finally know the gender and are very excited to start buying cute baby clothes and start working the nursery.
Reaction:
I have had the feeling that it was a boy for a while now. My symptoms fit a lot of the old wives tales. Plus, I figured since I am such a girly girl, I would probably end up with a boy first. I will admit that at first, I was a little disappointed it wasn’t a girl, but I am now happy to be carrying a little boy. And I know he will have a special relationship with his momma.
James, on the other hand, was completely shocked. He swore up and down that it would be a girl. He was actually so surprised that he stood up and yelled when the ultrasound tech revealed the gender.
Name:
I am so picky when it comes to boy names. We have had our girl name picked out since like week 4. But it took us a while to even come up with a few boy names we liked. I decided that I am not ready to share his name yet, but I will say it has been the only name I have wanted all along. James finally got on board and is already calling him by name.
Nursery Theme:
If you look at my Nursery Pinterest Board, you will see that I basically had all girl nursery ideas ready to go! I am so picky about boy clothes and decor. I am not really into the typical cartoon and sporty look. We will probably go with something pretty neutral like grey, white, and maybe some blue.
I will do a Bumpdate post really soon so I can talk a little more about how I have been feeling, but I wanted to keep today’s post on the shorter side because I know a lot of you are probably spending time with your families!
Thanks for taking the time to read today’s post! Happy Easter!
Congrats! Super exciting! You look amazing by the way! We are doing a similar nursery theme as well-very neutral! 🙂
