It’s almost the weekend and you know what that means! Time to get all dolled up and head out for a night in the town! Because Valentine’s Day is just a few days away, I thought it would be fun to do a Get Ready with Me post to give you a little makeup and hair inspiration for your date night. I am a girly girl at heart. I love anything that is feminine, pink, sparkly, and don’t even get my started on cheetah print!
For my hair and makeup, I wanted to do something pretty and feminine. I find that these types of makeup looks are what my husband likes best. He actually said this was his favorite makeup look that I had ever done! I’m telling you, boys like it when we look fresh and pretty. So grab your makeup products and curling tools, and let’s get ready together!
Foundation
I started by applying my favorite foundation, Too Faced Born This Way with my beauty Blender. For concealer, I have been loving the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer. I actually just wrote a post all about my foundation routine. Read more on my Foundation Routine HERE
Bronzer, Blush, and Highlight
This pale gal needed some serious bronzing. I went in with two bronzers. Too Faced Chocolate Soleil and then The Balm Betty- Lou Manizer from some extra glow. For blush, I went for a peachy pink color by Becca called Flowerchild. And that highlight is Mary- Lou Manizer, which is also by The Balm.
Eyes
I am still obsessing over my Morphe 350 palette. I went with soft brown colors in the crease, a soft champagne color on the lid, and a darker brown in the outer corner of my eye. Then I smoked out my lower lash line with a pencil brush in a darker brown shade shadow. I always use a gel eye liner, Maybelline Gel Liner is my favorite. For mascara, I went in with Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara, and then went in with a pair of false lashes. The pair I used was Lena Lashes in the Style Jackie.
Lips
I wanted a really pink and girly color to add a touch of boldness with the white dress. I went in with a lip liner by M.A.C in In Anticipation first, and then topped it off with a M.A.C lipstick in the shade Chatterbox.
Hair
I always protect my ends by going in with a heat protectant. I like this oil by Thermafuse. I really love curling my hair with a large barrel curling wand. I prefer softer curls, so a bigger wand definitely does the job better! I always curl away from my face as I take about 1-2 inch sections of hair. I like to start the back of my head, and then work my way to the front, curling the pieces closest to my face last. Lastly, I will either take brush or just run my fingers through my hair to soften the curls even more!
I hope you enjoyed this post! Comment below and tell me what your plans are for Valentine’s Day!
