What I’m Wearing
A little over a year ago, I took a hard look at my closet. I had a wardrobe full of clothes, but so many of them lacked quality, were overly trendy, or had a very dominant and rememberable print. I recall thinking to myself, “I am a fashion blogger, and feel like I have NOTHING to wear!” From that point on, I decided to be brutal with my clothes and have a closet confidential if you will. I got rid of a TON of clothes and promised myself that going forward I would invest in pieces that would stand the test of time, but also feel like me.
I finished a book recently by Nikki Taylor and she talked about having a “bankable” wardrobe that gives nods to the trends. And I loved this concept. You want your clothing to feel fresh and current, but it can be exhausting keeping up with everything going on in fashion. I have decided to add another series on the blog called, Closet Essentials. I will style an essential piece that every woman should have her closet, so that you can join me in the movement of creating a timeless and contemporary wardrobe.
Combat boots have been revealed on many lists including “bankable” clothing items. They always come back in style, but also happen to be particularly on trend again this fall and winter. Although often thought of as an edgier piece, with so many styles and variations on the market you are sure to find a pair that fits your style.

Experiment with your look and try styling them with an unexpected outfit like a maxi dress or skirt. The variations are endless. Take a risk and you just may love it!
