Headbands are back! Admittedly, I have been EXTREMELY hesitant to jump on board the comeback of the infamous headband era. Flashbacks of my high school years pop into my mind as I remember my match-matchy outfits that almost always involved a headband. And yes, this is before Blair Waldorf was Queen B! To be honest, headbands reminded me of my chubby awkward phase and I wasn’t really excited to relive that!
All trends are welcomed on a bell curve scale. You will always have the early adapters who are innovators willing to test the waters. This group is usually made of up of a group of influencers of sorts. As for many things in fashion, I am often in this group. But surprisingly I have been apart of the early majority group for this particular trend. Like many of you, I realized that this trend is going to stick around for a hot minute and we might as well have some fun with it!
Although I believe in investing in quality pieces that will stand the test of time, it is still fun to experiment with trends. Trends can honestly be a great way to spruce up your timeless wardrobe. Adding a few “on trend” items each season can actually make you feel like you have a whole new wardrobe and allow you to restyle the items that you know and love in a fun new way.
Pearls have been popping up in clothing details everywhere as of recent. Not only in our hair accessories, but also in our handbags, jewelry, shoes, and the like! I encourage you to not be afraid to take a risk now and again with your style. The great things about this particular pearl trend is that I am finding A TON of budget friendly ways to sport the look.
