What I’m Wearing
Dress: Jill Jill Stuart, Budget Friendly Option // Heels: Steve Madden // Bag: Similar // Belt: Gucci
Happy Spring loves! With yesterday being the induction of the spring season, I thought it was the perfect time for another trend alert post. If you remember this past fall, I did a few different posts in a series called Trend Alert. That way you were in the know of the hottest fashions for the upcoming season.
For some, spring weather may still feel like a far off fantasy. And others it may already feel like the dead of summer. Whatever your current weather situation, knowing what to wear this spring is a great thing. That way you can begin shopping for your spring wardrobe!
This past fall season, my boss was able to attend New York and Paris to see what fabrics, colors, and trends would be hitting retailers for Spring 2019. I remember begging her to tell me all of the “IT” styles for the upcoming spring season, even though it was months and months away at the time. For those of you who don’t know, New York/Paris Fashion Weeks show what designers will be producing for the following season. For example, if is currently fall, they will show the following spring season. Anyway, I remember that she told me the number one trend that appeared over and over again was the yellow color scheme!
Now that your favorite stores have begun showcasing the spring collections, it is hard to miss this popular yellow color! Nervous to wear such a bold and bright shade? Don’t be! I actually wrote a post last year called Choosing the Best Yellow for Your Complexion. Anyone can wear the shade, as long as you pick the best tone for your skin coloring. Actually, the mustard shade is a great selection for a variety of tones. So start with that specific color if you are feeling a little hesitant.
How will you incorporate this fun shade for the spring season? Remember that you can still wear the color in a small way like in a silk scarf, pair of shoes, or even a beaded earring. You don’t always have to go with a striking all over clothing option!
Thanks so much for stopping by my space!
Beautiful dress! I love pale yellow dresses and skirts 🙂 happy this is a trend this year so that it is easier to find!
