Who else is guilty of scrolling around on Pinterest looking for Valentine’s Day gift guides just to gain inspiration on what you want to hint at your honey to get you? Go ahead and shame me for it, but I bet you have done it once or twice! But all my internet browsing lead to me to pulling together a list of items that would be great if you are a man wanting to spoil your girl without breaking the bank, or if you are lady just trying to figure out how you can get your boo to treat you like you deserve!
These gifts give you that feeling of romantic luxury but are still in an attainable price range. So often we are on tight budgets or can’t justify spending on ourselves. But the great aspect about these picks are that they have that “name” or give you that luxe vibe without paying the highest price tag!
1. A Fancy Rosé Champagne
If you want to go top of the line, Veuve Clicquot or Moet are both glamorous and delicious options. But I have also found Trader Joe’s or the local liquor store to have pretty bottles that are a rosé bubbly!
2. A Box of Macarons
There is something about Blair from Gossip Girl eating a box of Ladurée Macarons in her bathtub that gives me that ultimate feeling of luxury. Instead of of a typical box of chocolates, why not surprise her with a box of colorful macrons? See if you have any local French bakeries or cafés that make them fresh or order them online!
3. Bath Salts and Goodies
One of the most romantic things that my husband James has done for me recently was surprise me by picking up a bunch of little bath products and setting up a dim and romantic environment for me to take a bath after I got home from work. He even downloaded a little bell app for me to ring if I needed anything while I was relaxing. I mean how cute! Focus on the details like lighting candles and music and set the mood for a romantic bath for two!
4. A Designer Candle or Fragrance
When it comes to designer items, fragrance and candles are one of the most “attainable” items to get. Don’t be afraid to go for the smallest size option for a more budget friendly alternative. Afterall, they last such a long time! My favorite brands are Jo Malone and Diptyque.
5. A Box of Chocolate Truffles
Another alternative to the typical box of chocolate candies are these adorable boxes of truffles. Consider them the cooler and chicer older sister! With so many yummy flavors and luxe packaging, she is sure to love them!
6. Silk Pajamas or Robe
I could live in a pair of silk pajamas. They are so comfortable and beautiful. You feel as if you have on a fancy outfit and you are just in your pjs! They are such a great gift idea because it is not something that women would usually justify purchasing for themselves, but she would love to own!
7. Statement Earrings
Take the pressure off of purchasing expensive jewelry. Surprise her with a pair of beautiful statement earrings that you thoughtfully picked out yourself. Pair it with a pretty jewelry case or trinket tray that she can display them on!
