Ever since I got a job in fashion, I have been exposed to many designer labels. And I will be honest, sometimes I look at things and wonder why on earth a certain item costs so much. Unfortunately, the quality of an item is not always reflected in its price tag. A lot of times, you are paying for a name or social standard. But in other cases, you are actually walking away with a fantastic item that will stand the test of time and make you feel as good as you should for the money you spent.
There are some brands that truly hold up to their namesake. As a general rule, I have found that investing in accessories is the safest bet because they last the longest and can be worn so many times to make you feel like you got your money’s worth. Denim was something I never understood paying an upward of $200 for.
Express was always my go to place for jeans, and I never had much to complain about, except that they did stretch, as expected, over time. When I started working in fashion, I knew my denim needed to be upgraded, especially since I now wear it more than ever before. So when I wanted to start investing in that piece of my wardrobe, I turned to FRAME.
So are designer jeans worth it? To make a long story short, um yes, girl! I have never had denim fit me so well in my life. If you are looking for a classic pair of black skinny jeans for the fall, I recommend this pair. If designer jeans are not in your budget, definitely keep your eyes peeled at consignment shops or even online thrift stores. You never know, you might just get lucky and find a fantastic pair! But I really have been shocked at the fit of the jeans. They really are unlike any pair of I have worn.
