7 Beauty Products You Didn’t Know You Needed

Beauty Products You Need, beauty hacks

In a world where we have an excess of what we need, you are probably asking yourself why you would want to add even more to the list! Well the truth is that you don’t. But with so many gadgets on the market, especially in the beauty world, it can be interesting to find out what is actually worth while. There are a few of those beauty hack items that are actually kind of nice to have around. Today, I am sharing a few of my favorite beauty products that I think are worth getting your hands on! But don’t worry, at the end of the post I am also revealing a few items you can totally skip out on!

1. Mascara Primer

For years I stared at the white tubes in disbelief that my money deserved to be wasted on them. But this year, I decided to give it a go, and I can’t tell you what a big different there is with it verses without it. I use the L’Oreal Lash Primer since it is works well as a dupe for the Lancome option.

2. Invisibobble Hair Ties

These strange looking hair ties are pretty new to the beauty scene. They are suppose to prevent kinks in your hair and diminish the risk of headaches and hair breakage. With pregnancy, your hair tends to break more easily and become damaged. And these have been a great alternative to keep my hair as healthy as possible during this time.

3. A Makeup Sponge

Beauty Blenders and makeup sponges are not new by any means. But I am still in shock of how many ladies have yet to try them out! They truly make a huge difference in makeup application, making it appear more natural and blended.

4. A Real Hand Cream

So many hand creams on the market simply make your hands feel moisturized without actually giving hydration. Lano Intense Hand Cream actually gives moisture to dry and cracked hands.

5. A Lip Balm That Works

Same idea goes with lip balm. So many brands out there make your lips moisturized while it is on the lips, but once it wears off it actually didn’t do anything to treat the lips. Lanolips is definitely the best lip balm I have ever tried.

 6. A Legit Eye Lash Curler

A heavy duty lash curler can really lift the lashes and make them appear much longer and fuller. The Tarte Lash Curler makes a huge difference and blows those cheap drug store options out of the water.

7. Eye Lash Serum

Giving up on my Neulash Serum was one of the hardest things when I found out I was pregnant. I am not even exaggerating. This lash serum completely transforms your lashes. I have always had very short nautral lashes. This serum made them so much longer and fuller! But if you stop using it, they will slowly go back to their normal state. I can’t wait to go back to it after baby is here.

Things to Skip

1. Clarsonic

I used this device for almost two years and I have to say I don’t think my skin improved at all. It does feel really nice on the skin, and will do a great job at exfoliating. But I stopped using it about a year and half ago, and if anything my skin has been better! But that is just my personal experience with it. If you love it, tell me why in the comments!

2. A Specific Soap for Makeup Brushes or Sponges

Soaps that are marketed specifically to clean your makeup brushes or beauty blenders are a waste of money. Gentle dish soap works great for makeup brushes, and hotel bar soap is a miracle worker for getting out Beauty Blender stains.

3. Sheet Masks

Those sheet masks that make you look like a serial killer are all the rage right now. But truthfully, they are not all that great for your skin. Most of them have a lot of additives or fillers with only a few good ingredients.

4. Lip Scrubs

I do love scrubs. And they obviously do a great job at removing excess skin or dryness.  But if you want to save a few bucks, you can easily make your own out of brown sugar and coconut oil. Use equal parts of both ingredients and store it in a cute little tin!

These are just a few items that I have used and found to be helpful or wasteful. I honestly have so many other products that I could write about. Let me know if you liked this post and would like to read some of my other recommendations! Thanks for reading.
