Lipsticks change with the seasons. At least for me they do! When its sunny and bright outside, I want my makeup to reflect that as well! For years on end, the trend has been in the Winter you wear vampy and dark colors. But I often find that when my outfit or makeup is bold in color, I actually feel more happy and excited.Your makeup really can reflect your mood. I remember as a kid, I would wear super shiny lip products that tasted like bubble gum. And my dad would always say things like, “You lips look so slippery that I could slide a sled right across them!” Oh dads will be dads I guess!
In the Spring and Summer, I like to wear a lot of pink and coral shades in both outfits and in my makeup as well. So I wanted to let you in on what lipsticks are on rotation of right now!
1.YSL Rouge Vulupte 8
This is definitely a splurge worthy item. But I actually got it as a gift from my husband while we were dating. Because of the price tag, I only pull it out certain times of year. It just makes all the more special to me. The super creamy formula makes it really easy to apply and wear. And of course the fuchsia shade adds the fun factor!
2. M.A.C Impassioned
This is a mixture of a hot pink and coral. This looks stunning with a tan. I actually wore this color for my outfit post with the neon skirt. This is another Spring and Summer classic for me.
3. Anastasia Liquid Lipstick in Retro Coral
The Instagram photo of me wearing this color is my most liked photo of all time. It is an almost neon coral shade that definitely attracts some attention. This is a great pool side shade when your rocking that cute bathing suit and getting your bronzed body on.
4. Too Faced Melted Peony
This is that ultimate girly pink shade that everyone needs in their collection. The formula is also super comfortable to wear and stays at least five hours before it starts to wear off!
5. M.A.C Girl About Town
I have been wearing this shade a ton lately! It is a mixture of a hot pink and fuchsia. And I always get compliments when I’m wearing this shade. This is the shade I grab when I feel like my outfit is rather neutral and I need a pop of color to add to the ensemble.
