With the change in seasons comes a change in beauty. Tired of bronzed skin and coral lips? While I don’t think there is anything wrong with looking like JLO all year long, it is also nice to switch up your makeup look! Every season we look to the runway to reveal the latest trends. This fall season gives us some of the expected trends as well as a few new and fun beauty changes.
Although I am still in shock that summer has come to an end, Elle Magazine and Harpers Bazaar has already presented us with this years Fall makeup trends. Here are 5 makeup trends that I am ready to begin!
1. Dark Lips
This is no surprise to me! Every Fall season we see colors like berries, reds, and dark vampy purples and even black! Its time to dust off those deep colors that have been tucked away on your vanity all year! Really dark red and purple lips are in this season and we are seeing it in the form of liquid lipsticks. Anastasia Beverly Hills, Kat Von D, and Too Faced are your go to brands for that trendy matte lip look.
2. Graphic Liner
Black liner is a must for fall. But no fear! If you haven’t mastered that fierce cat eye, don’t worry! This season it is actually in to have messy liner. Draw it thick, straight, or wing it out. If it is bold, it is in! If ever there was a time to wing it out, it was now! Mastering that bold liner look can take practice, but with gel based products or a sharp liquid liner pen, you are sure to master the technique!
3. Bronzed Lids
You may have already packed away your bronzer for the year, but you might just want to consider bringing it back out for your new eye shadow look! See I told you JLO was in all times of year! The runway is sporting bronzy gold shadows on the eyes this season! Palettes are the way to go when creating a simple eye look. Urban Decay and Too Faced are great “go to” brands for diverse eye shadow palettes.
4. Rosy Cheeks
Pack on that blush girl! Rosy cheeks are here to stay. Think long hike or a day out in the snow when applying your blush in the morning. This trend was a bit of a shock to me since many of the past Fall seasons have opted for more contoured and structured skin with little color on the cheeks. But this year, rosy cheeks are a must! Both drugstore and high end have some great blush options!
5. Smokey Eyes
Now is the time to experiment with those black shadows your terrified of using! Easy and classic smokey eyes were all over the runways. Opt for brown and black shadows blended effortlessly on the lids. Start with the darkest color closest to your lash line. And as you approach your crease, use a softer brown so the transition is effortless. The raved about Naked Palettes are a great place to start when trying to master your smokey eye!
What do you think of these Fall trends? Which will you be trying this season?!
