Easter is literally right around the corner! And I seriously couldn’t be happier. I am getting a full week off work for my Spring Break and headed off the Denver to spend the Holiday with my best friends. Easter was one of those Holidays where we definitely jumped around in terms of traditions. My family would change the dinner menu from year to year, but there was one thing almost always stayed the same. I would attend a midnight mass for our Easter celebration. I remember always looking forward to picking out a cute outfit for the huge afterparty that followed. I mean who doesn’t love a cute Easter dress?!
Because Easter often falls during the time of fluctuating weather changes, it can be hard to narrow your options for an outfit for your Easter festivities. I know in past years, I have experienced crazy weather, even snow! So I have rounded up a few tips that will hopefully help you pick out your look.
1. Stick to Pastels or Florals
This is the easiest tip. Even if the weather disappoints, at least your color choice can be happy and bright. I feel like pastels are that perfect Easter color palette, or of course you can’t go wrong with a nice floral dress!
2. Add Some Texture
I love lace and crochet for this time of year. Well let’s be honest, I actually like it all times of year! But it is especially on trend to get a little fun with your fabric. Pom poms, lace, and frills can add some fun dimension to your look.
3. Bring a Sweater or Wear Long Sleeves
This might seem basic, but you’d be surprised how easily it can be overlooked! I actually like how this dress is long sleeved, but the material is still breathable. And the bell sleeves make it fun and flirty, but also keeps you warm if needed.
4. Don’t Overthink It!
Maybe you’re not a dress person. Then by no means do you have to wear a dress! Wear what you are comfortable wearing just add a little brightness and texture. At the end of the day, you are celebrating something much bigger than you. So if the outfit isn’t perfect, who cares. I know a big guy upstairs who is 😉
