Lately I have found myself more drawn to drugstore products. Maybe it’s just me, but I have found that in recent months, the drugstore has “amped up” their game in creating more quality products at a cheaper price. Each time I test out a new “lower end” product, I have been pleasantly surprised! There are 10 products in particular that have really impressed me over the past few weeks, so I thought I would reveal my Top Ten “Must Have” Drugstore Products!
FACE PRODUCTS:
I have been really amazed by e.l.f brushes in general, but this brush has been
awesome for setting my under eye concealer. I take a little of Anastasia Banana powder and dab that under the eyes using this brush, and I have really enjoyed it!
This has been doing an excellent job at blurring the appearance of pores and creating a smooth surface of skin.
I have also noticed a brightening effect, which is great when my skin has been looking a little dull.
Also, the fact that it was oil-free was a selling point because I require “oil-free” primers
due to my sensitive skin that is prone to breakouts.
The nude/ pink toned blush is pretty for natural looks and the color is perfect for all season wear.
For a price point of around $5, I feel you can’t go wrong with a shade like this!
This soft rose colored blush has a golden glow that is beautiful on the cheeks. Milani’s baked blushes are some of the best affordable blushes on the market, and for the price they are worth getting your hands on!
LIP PRODUCTS:
This is by far my most used lip liner of all time. It is that perfect nude colored lip liner that you can wear under any lipstick. I love wearing a pink gloss overtop because it adds a little color while still having that “nude lip” vibe.
6. Maybelline Matte Lipstick in Touch of Spice
This to me is similar to that “Kylie Jenner” lip color or a dupe for M.A.C Brave Lipstick. I was super impressed with the formula of this product because it was very long wearing, creamy, matte, and very pigmented. I plan on picking up a few more shades in the future because I think they are so great!
7. Maybelline Elixir in Carmel Infused
What I like about these gloss is that it is not super think and pigmented. Sometimes I just want a wash of color to glaze over my favorite lipstick. This color looks divine overtop of the Maybelline Matte lipstick in Touch of Spice!
8. Milani Nude’ Cream Lipstick
Super smooth, pigmented, and it smells like watermelons! This is a nude pink color that looks amazing with a smokey eye. I have quickly become a fan of their lip products in general because of the quality for the price point. Plus the Gold Packaging!
9. Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara
When I recently ran out of my Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara, I had to quickly get a new one. But I decided I didn’t want to fork out the money for that mascara, and decided to try a drugstore one. I have loved this wet formula because it gives long lashes with added thickness. Long story short: The brush is bomb!
Everybody and their mother raves about this liner and there is a reason for it! Its pointed brush allows for a precise application, and it dries matte! I like applying this over my gel liner to get a deeper black shade.
I hope you found a few new products to pick up at your local Drugstore! What are favorite affordable finds? Comment below to tell me your faves!
