Every January, I usually do a blog post on the books that I had read the previous year or a reading list for the year to come. But this past year has been a whirlwind, and I have done the least amount of reading in years! As it is now more than half way through the year, I thought it was time to make reading a priority again. But as my time is a lot my limited, I have been using Audible to get that listening time in with my busy schedule.

This is in no way sponsored by Audible. I honestly just love the company and have used them for years. I thought that it would be fun to share ten books that are in my audible library right now! There are a variety of books that I am currently reading, have read recently, or plan to read soon. You will find a good mix of genres and topics as I like to mix it up!

Ten Books in My Audible Library

1. Atomic Habits by James Clear

I only have about 30 minutes left of listening time in this book that dives deep into how we can develop good habits and break bad ones. This was a fantastic listen and I really enjoyed the author’s voice and his ability to relate factual information paired with vivid storytelling and examples of how to practically implement the strategies.

2. Girl, Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis

I listened to a few hours of this popular best selling book and honestly lost interest; however, my friend sent me her newest book, Girl Stop Apologizing, and I am almost half way done reading the physical book. And I am LOVING it! I think I will go back and finish her first book once I finish that one!

3. Home Sweet Maison by Danielle Postel-Vinay

A lot of my interior inspiration for our new home comes from French decor. I thought this would be a fun and light-weight listen for me to get some interior decorating ideas for our new home.

4. Behind Closed Doors by B. A. Paris

I RARELY read fiction. But I downloaded this to read on our way across the country and LOVED IT! If you are into mystery thrillers, this is a MUST read! So creepy and chilling, and unlike other thrillers I have read. I heard they may be making it into a movie soon as well.

5. Brain Rules for Baby by John Medina

During pregnancy, you read so many books (at least I did) to prepare for baby. But of course once the child arrives, the last thing on your mind is reading! Now that Oliver is almost 2 (in September) I thought this would be a good book for me to read to find out some strategies and everyday practices on ways that I can help him in his development.

6. The Rhythm of Life by Matthew Kelly

This is my third or fourth time reading this book. It is hands down my favorite book. It has changed my life multiple times and always has a way of sneaking back into my hands right when I need it most. Kelly explores how our number one purpose on this earth is to become the best version of ourselves.

7. Branding by K.L Hammond

If you are a business owner or entrepreneur, this book on branding for your business would probably be a great read. I haven’t started it yet, but the reviews are pretty good. I will keep you updated on my thoughts!

8. WorkParty by Jaclyn Johnson

Another unread book in my library, but I plan on starting it soon. Johnson gives the tips and tricks that you need from some of the best ladies in business and how to embrace failure to achieve your dreams.

9. The Woman in the Window by A. J Finn

I started this fiction thriller immediately after Behind Closed Doors. This is a 13 hr and 45 min audio book and I am about 4 hours into it. The plot is good, but I feel like it is a little slower moving than I was expecting. It has been on pause for a while, but I do plan on finishing it.

10. Editor in Chic by Mikki Taylor

Every once in a while, I like to pick up a fashion book to spark some inspiration outside of social media. This book is a compilation of beauty tricks, fashion advice, and how to cultivate your beauty inside and out. I have not started this one either, but I am excited for a light and fun read for the summer!
