I love dressing up. I have always found it so exhilarating to change your identity for a day, and assume all aspects, traits, and challenges of that person. There is a certain thrill in being someone other than yourself. I think that is why I have always enjoyed Halloween. I mean seriously… you get free candy and you get to dress up! What else do you want out of life!
I have been on a fairytale kick lately, perhaps because I have been watching too much Once Upon a Time….so I decided to create a makeup look based off Little Red Riding Hood. I love this look because it assumes the desired persona without being too costume makeup like. To create this look here are the colors or products you will need:
Foundation (I used Makeup For Ever HD in shade 125)
Concealer (Mac Prolong wear NC20)
Bronzer (NYC bronzer in sunny)
Rosy gold blush (Milani blush in Rose D’Oro)
Gold/yellow highlighter (Nars Albatross)
Eye shadow colors: cream, light brown, dark brown, red brown, black (Lorac Pro Palette shades in cream, taupe, sable, espresso, black) (Nude’tude Palette shades sexy and sleek)
gel eye liner (MAC Blacktrack fluidline)
Mascara or false lashes (House of Lashes Pixie Luxe)
Red Lipstick- (MAC Ruby Woo)
You’ll want to start with the eyes since you will be using very dark colors that may have some fall out. First, prime your eyelids. If you do not have eye shadow primer, than use concealer. Second, take a blending brush and blend your light brown color (taupe) into your crease to create a transition shade. Next, deepen your crease with a little darker of a brown color (sable). Now, take your reddish brown color (Sexy) and work that color on the outer part of your eyelid and gradually move it into your crease. Next, take your cream/ beige color (cream) and place that on your lid until it meets with the reddish brown color you already placed. Now you are going to darken your outer V. Take the darkest brown you have (sexy and espresso) and create a v shape on the outer part of your eyelid. Finally take a black shade, and use a small brush to line your top lash line. Finally create a large wing with your gel eye liner (you can use tape to create a straighter line) and then put on your false lashes. Now clean up any eye shadow that has fallen onto your face. Once you have done that, apply your foundation. I like to use the Sigma Flat Top Kabuki brush. Then you can go onto conceal your under eyes and any blemishes. Now, take your bronzer and apply that to the hollows of your cheeks. You can find them by making a “fish face.” I also apply bronzer to my temples and a little on my forehead. Warm up your face with your blush. Pick a golden rose color. Only apply the blush to the apples of your cheeks. Then apply your golden highlighter to your cheek bones, brow bone, and the inner corners of your eyes. Now you are going to go back to your eyes. Take a small flat brush or a pencil brush, a take a dark brown color and run that on your lower lash line. Then apply either a black shadow or black liner and run that on the outer part of your lower lash line and in the waterline. Don’t forget a little mascara on the lower lashes. 
Almost done! Just fill in your brows, set your makeup with a setting spray or powder, and line those lips with either a dark red or red lipliner and then apply a bold red lipstick (MAC Ruby Woo). And then you are FINISHED!
