During on trip to L.A we made time to stop by Venice Beach for a short while to soak up some sun and enjoy the gorgeous view. Did I get in the water? Absolutely not! I am more of an admirerer of the water than a fish! I loved how uncrowded this beach was, but let’s just say keeping this hat from taking off in the wind was a struggle. But you gotta do what you got to do for a cute pic? Am I right?!
In my past trips, I have been to a couple of the beaches near Laguna and Newport, but I had never taken a trip to the Venice Beach area. And let’s just say the boardwalk was entertaining to say the least! There was a group of people advertising for a “freak show” and I just kept waiting for my husband to beg me to go! Later, he actually brought up how he was tempted to see the two-headed turtle. He cracks me up.
We loved the surrounding shops and restaurants in Venice, which I will talk a lot more about in detail in my upcoming L.A guide. So we will probably be taking another trip back there this Summer since it really isn’t that bad of a drive from Las Vegas.
Have you started planning your Summer vacations? I am SO ready for Summer. But I actually have Spring Break (finally!) next week so that will help get me by in the meantime.
