On my way home from Denver a few weekends ago, I sat next to a lady on a plane who offered me one of her magazines. I was almost taken off guard by her kindness and gladly accepted her People Style Watch Issue. I love magazines. Even as a kid, I used to take a handful of permeant markers and draw and write all over my favorite issues to create inspiration or even make new looks. I would even hoard magazines in huge boxes in my high school years and take them out every once in a while to make a vision board with my friends of our dreams and goals for the upcoming year.
I still have the same perspective about Fashion magazines. They are there to inspire us and give us ideas on ways we can live our lives. During my plane ride, I took note of all the upcoming fashion trends for the Fall season, and some of them are quite surprising! One trend that caught my attention was the blush pink color trend. I couldn’t believe how much pink was prancing across the page for Fall and Winter clothing! And as you can guess, I did not have a single problem with it!
So PINK really is the NEW BLACK this season! But let’s be honest, I will take any excuse to wear pink… One of my favorite ways to wear the trend is parring it with an edgier piece such as a blazer or jacket. I really liked the pink and black combo of this outfit, and I also think it makes it more “Fall time appropriate.”
On another note, I wanted to let you know that it was SUPER windy the day we took these photos. So I apologize for them not being the best quality! Trust me when I say the whole “wind blowing your hair” gig is really not that sexy! Especially in 100 degree heat! But sometimes you just gotta roll with it…
